Kimmo Joutvuo – King of AhvenistoLocal driver Kimmo Joutvuo was the hero of the opening round of the Finnish F3 Championship at Ahvenistolla circuit in Hämeenlinna.Kimmo Joutvuo was certainly the driver of the day at Ahvenisto; he took two pole positions, two victories and fastest laps. In Saturday's race Joutvuo didn't get the best possible start and was passed by Jani Tammi and Teppo Suvanto. Joutvuo, how ever, overtook Suvanto soon and Tammi's lead didn't last too long either. If Joutvuo's start was bad, it was something completely different to Marko Vähämäki, who started from the back of the pack. Marko was 5th already in 1st corner and 3rd after one complete lap. He finished 3rd after Joutvuo and Tammi. Russian drivers Maxim Travin and Nikolay Martsenko had to start from the pit lane as they where late from the line up. The Russians finished on 6th and 7th positions after the Sandberg brothers Aki and Tom. In Sunday, Martsenko unbelievably good start from the second row and was on lead in the first corner. Even more unbelievable was the fact that, instead of Martsenko, his team mate Travin got a stop&go penalty for jump start. Joutvuo was much faster than Martsenko and took the lead after couple of laps. Martsenko finished second and Tammi took the last podium place. Joutvuo on the Pole PositionKimmo Joutvuo was the fastest man in qualifying.Kimmo Juotvuo was clearly the fastes man on the track today. Jani Tammi will start from the first row also ans Nikolay Martsenko - Teppo Suvanto will form the second row in the grid. Marko Vähämäki made a mistake on cool tyres and didn't get a time at all. ArtLine's Nika Adeishvili went of the track also. NEZ Cup 2009There'll be a FIA NEZ (North European Zone) Cup in Formula 3 in 2009.
